Many tropical fish, such as tetras, barbs , discus and killifish, come from waters that are rich in natural peat and plant extracts. These compounds are important for health, reproduction and condition, and can be added to the aquarium using Blackwater Extract. This product will improve spawning success, health, and colouration in many species of aquarium fish. In addition, it will aid plant growth, limit the growth of bacteria and fungi, and help to control algae problems.

How to Use
Add 5ml of Blackwater Extract per 10litres (2 gallons) of aquarium water initially, followed by 2.5ml per 10litres (2 gallons) every 1-2 weeks, as part of your normal maintenance schedule. Blackwater Extract may initially turn the aquarium water a slight brown colour, until the ingredients have fully dissipated. Activated carbon and other chemical filter media may remove Blackwater Extract, and so should be removed during its use.
