It all began in Ludwigshafen in 1960 with a small pet shop, just 30m2 in size, which Joachim Bohome, a trained chemist from Dresden, opened and so made his hobby his job. Up to the present day, JBL, under the leadership of Roland Bohome, the son of the founder, has expanded its range to over 1000 products for the aquarium, terrarium and garden pond and has established a position as a leader producer in this field, exporting to 65 countries around the world.
