Automatic gravel cleaner

With this battery-operated gravel cleaner (batteries are included), you can clean the floor of your aquarium easily, even between water changes. The power of the device is so designed that dirt is taken up without disturbing the gravel and its purifying bacteria. A filter compartment in the device retains the dirt while letting the water immediately back into the aquarium. The filter element is simple to remove.

The Gravel cleaner can be used in aquariums up to 60cm / 24 inches deep.

This model has replaced my aged 35000 which worked through a transformer. I found the new one easy and convenient to use and clean but felt it did not quite have the power of my original but I would recommend it as a very useful piece of equipment which no accurist should be without.

Once again Great service, the Eheim "Sludge Extractor" as it was described on the main packing box, turned out to be a really useful piece of kit.
It is long enough to reach the base of my Biorb 60 and the filter is a really fine mesh and not being a bag type filter is easey to use with throug the relativly narrow neck of the biorb.
Once again thankyou, will be back.

well i have just recieved my ehiem cleaner today and i just couldnt wait to use it. it is the best product that i have invested in! its so easy to clean the tank without the hassle of making a mess which i use to make with the hand syphon. i does however leave the water cloudy once it has been used and takes about a couple of hours to clean depending on the type of filter you have! but i would recommend this product to anyone as it reduces the stress on fishes and plant life and reduces the amount of water changes you do.

I have a Trigon 190 bow fronted 41 gallon aquarium
and bought the Eheim Battery Powered Vacuum Cleaner from Charterhouse because I particularly
want to clean just the glass gravel I have when I do not want to remove any of the water (for which I
have a BiOrb water syphon anyway). This is a truly delightful gadget and I am absolutely delighted with the way Charterhouse have handled my transaction and delivery problems with speed and
professionalism. I can thoroughly recommend both the Eheim Gravel Cleaner and Charterhouse as

What a good piece of kit. It totally cleaned my sand and the tank water was still resonably clear when I had finished. Really easy to use and no mess.

Just bought this as I've recently invested in a 150 litre aquarium. Tried it out tonight for the first time - impressed! It was great to be able to clean the gravel effectively without creating all the usual mess! The filter compartment was nice and gunky afterwards, which was a good sign that it had done its job. Nice one!
