New FLUIDIZED REACTORS - without pump and suitable for Rowaphos, Biological sand/carbon.
The FR509 is more popularly known in the hobby as the Rowaphos reactor as this is probably its most common use however it like all of the reactors in this range can also be used for fluidising sand for biological filtration or carbon for removing yellowing from water.
The FR509 is the smallest model and suitable for most small to medium aquariums if used for fluidising Rowaphos and will hold up to 1 ltr of media.
Use of rowaphos this way makes phosphate control an easy matter as the phosphate levels can be measured at the outlet and should always be zero if there is sufficient adsorption power in the media.
