AI SOL Blue LED 70/70 Module The AI Sol is the ultimate in aquarium lighting and is the culmination of performance and design making it the choice for the reef professional who wants total light control, longevity, and energy savings.

This LED is manufactured in the USA and AI have made considerable investment in equipment, including a robotic line which allows them to build the PCB circuitry in house to achieve maximum control for maximum reliability.

The SOL Blue is now available from D-D with 70/70 optics, ideal for tanks up to 60cm deep or where corals are positioned in the upper half of the aquarium.

This is also ideal for a mixed reef system where the requirement for the more focused lighting from the 40 degree lenses to punch down to greater depths is not a priority.

Also now available in a limited black edition with an anodised silver aluminium heat sink!!

Optics

The SOL 70/70 is fitted with 8 x 70 degree LED arrays to give a wide spread of light on shallower tanks up to 60 cm depth or over areas where corals are growing higher up in the water. It is also possible to use these 70/70 lights closer to the surface and still get good mixing of the 3 colours. Use of 40 degree optics directly above shallower corals may require a reduction in the light intensity to prevent localised burning of the corals.

Intensity

The AI 70/70 Sol exclusively uses white Cree XP-G and blue/royal blue XP-E series LEDs with 70 degree lenses, to achieve the greatest spread without sacrificing intensity.

Using the AI controller each of the white,blue and royal blue channels can be set from 0-100% individually meaning that you can tune your Kelvin colour temperature as desired.
